CLIFTON ABLES BUSINESSMAN DIES SUDDENLY
Clifton Ables, age 72, a local businessman died suddenly Sunday, September 23 at his home. Mr. Ables was a retired service station operator, a Veteran of World War II, and a founding member of the Trinity Chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Allie Mae Loveless Ables, two sisters, Mrs. C. L. Southall of El Dorado and Mrs. Gertrude Strickland of Hampton.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 25 at the Trinity Chapel south of Hampton. Burial followed in the Pickett Cemetery by Fraziers Funeral Home of Warren.
Pallbearers were Frank White, Harold Duncan, Grover Cornwell, Doc Porter, J. C. Brown and Joe Fred McDonald.
Honorary pallbearers were Searcy Harrell, Gene Loftis, Larkin Ivy, Curtis Loveless, Dewitt Porter, Kermit Caswell, V. L. Thomason, Trav Thomason, Ob Newton, Harold Tucker, and Ray Ables.
