after brief illness at a Eugene Hospital.

Clyde W. McNeil was the son of James Melvin and Jessie Rose Craig and was born in either the Drain area or rural Lane County. He is noted as having completed at least an 8th grade education.

By 1920, he was living in Goshen Lane County.

By 1930 (according to a United States Census Report) he was shown as 'Married' (age of marriage was 18). Nothing is known about this early union. At the time he was living at West Moreland with his parents James and Jessie.

By 1940, he was living in Dorena, Lane County (rented room of private family) and his occupation listed as a United States Flood Control Engineer. Later in life, Clyde worked in the logging industry at Cottage Grove.

By 1947, he is found in Creswell, Oregon (Obituary of his father James Melvin).

Clyde is beloved and missed by his family, especially so by Vicci, who says Clyde was such a wonderful guy.
