Joan Brothers Giroux (Mott), 73, of Vernon, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2012 into the loving arms of our Lord. She was born June 4, 1938 in Burlington, Vermont, daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (Dickerson) Brothers.
She is survived by her children Lori Giroux of Southwick, Massachusetts, Brian Giroux and his wife Joanne of Tolland, Connecticut, Lisa Giroux of Derry, New Hampshire, and Holly Giroux Groleau and her husband Eric of Burlington, Connecticut. She also leaves her siblings Philip Brothers of Burlington, Vermont and Elizabeth Brothers Slowey and her husband Francis of Bloomfield, Connecticut as well as 11 grandchildren: Norman Giroux, Jordan Giroux, Ashley Boyle, Nichole Boone, Joshua Boone, Holly Boone, Gage Dionne, Jonathan Groleau, Timothy Groleau, Scott Groleau and Samantha Groleau.
She was predeceased by her parents, 1st husband Norman Giroux, her twin sister, Joyce Nina Brothers Applegate, and her oldest brother Robert Russell Brothers.

She was cremated I don't know the exact location of her remains. I think she was burried in her 1st Husband's family plot. If you know otherwise please contact me and I will correct the memorial.
