Mrs. Phyllis Jean Russell, 41, Fortville, who had resided in Anderson until 1959, died at 7:53 am today at her home after an illness of the past two years.

Mrs. Russell was born in Franklin County, May 12, 1927, the daughter of Harry and May Shrock Baker. She was formerly employed at the Campbell Soup Co., in Saratoga and had moved to Fortville two years ago from Union City.

She was a member of the Ladies Eagles Auxiliary, No. 2790.

Surviving are her husband, William; three children, Mrs Edwina Lynch of Fortville, Spec 4 Gilbert F Russell stationed in Ft. Benjamin Harrison with the U.S. Army and Mrs. Annetta Lindamood, at home; her father, Harry Baker, of Elwood; her mother Mrs. May Majors of Elwood; a brother, Harry James Baker of Berkeley, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Gerard and Mrs. Betty Freeman, both of Arkansas, Mrs. Marjprie Jamerson of Elwood; and three grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Brown and Butz Funerl Home.
