Mr. Luther Thomas Harmon, 76, of Sugar Grove, died Tuesday night, July 9, at Watauga Medical Center.

He was born June 11, 1920, in the Bailey's Camp community of Caldwell County, to Markus Jacob and Jane Vines Harmon. He was a retired cabinet maker from Broyhill Furniture Company and a member and deacon of Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Delilah Tester Harmon, one step-daughter, one step-son, one sister, one brother, three half-sisters, seven half-brothers, ten grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Services will be Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Officiating will be Reverends Quincy Norris and Melvin Hodges. Burial will follow in the Mount Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens.

Hampton Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
