Mrs. Sarah Jane Luce, 64, of 446 Spruce Street, Clearfield, died last night at 5:30 o'clock in the Clearfield Hospital. She was the widow of Vern Luce.
Mrs. Luce was born at Palton, August 14, 1894, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Law. She was a member of the Baptist Church of Clearfield and of the Second Ward Fire Company Auxiliary.
Surviving her are the following children:
Mrs. Edwin (Marie) McCoy, Mrs. Wilbur (Margaret) Lines, Miss Hazel Luce, Robert Luce and Harold Luce, all of Clearfield; and Clair Luce, Smicksburg.
She also leaves one stepson, Fred Luce of Clearfield; 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters:
Mrs. David Fruntz, Mrs. Richard Merritt, George Law, Henry Law and Woodfield Law, all of Clearfield; and Albert Law of Gary, Ind.
Her husband, Vern Luce, preceded her in death April 1, 1954.
Funeral services will be held from the Leavy Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. Richard Shanklin officiating. Burial will be made at Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home this evening after 7 o'clock, Sunday afternoon and evening and until time of services Monday.
