Hezekiah Cole was born in Weston, CT to Jonathan and Lois (Squire) Cole. He was their fourth child. He married Jerusha Beers in 1806, who was from the Weston, CT Beers family. They had one daughter, Amarinda Cole, born in Weston, and then they moved north to Kent, CT where four more children were born. Hezekiah spent the rest of his life as a farmer in Kent and his oldest son David helped in the operation of the farm. After Hezekiah and Jerusha died, David sold the Kent property and moved his farming operation to Washington, CT. Hezekiah is buried along side of his wife Jerusha in Saint Andrews Episcopal Church Cemetery in the village of Kent, CT.
