In 1870 she lived with her parents and brother and sister in their house on the west side of Tapeworm Road that had been built on that part of Johnny Dumm's farm that her father had bought from her grandfather. Sam owned real property worth $1000 and personal property worth $400.

In 1880 she lived in the same place with her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.

In 1900 she and her husband and their two children lived at 118 Olney Avenue in Marion, OH. They were renting and there was another family living at the same address, so it must have been an apartment. Sylvester was a jeweler.

In 1910 she and her husband and their four children lived in the house at 120 Gurley Avenue in Marion that they owned, mortgage free. Anthony was a piano agent, whatever that was--salesman, perhaps?

In 1920 they all lived in the house at 186 Saint James Street that they owned, mortgage free. Anthony was a house carpenter and Edith was a public school teacher.

In 1930 she and her husband and their daughter Edith lived in the house at 186 Saint James Street. It was valued at $8000 and they did not have a radio. Anthony did watch repair at home and Edith was an art teacher in the public schools.

In 1940 the three of them lived in the same place. The Depression had hit the real estate market hard in that part of the country, as it was only valued at $3500. Anthony was a jeweler working for himself. Edith was an art teacher in the public schools and in 1939 had an income of $1200 for 40 weeks of work. They also had a lodger named John Little living with them. He was an insurance adjustor and in 1939 had an income of $3100 for 50 weeks of work.

In 1950 the three of them lived in the same house. Anthony worked repairing clocks in a clock repair shop and Edith worked teaching art in a public grammar school.
