Utah Services Held for Lester Jensen
Lester Jensen, 61, of Salt Lake City died of cancer after an eight year illness July 23, 1966. He is the son of Adolph and Ida Kennington Jensen, and was born in Afton April 23, 1905. He received his schooling and took an active part in church functions for boys. He fulfilled a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints to the West Texas Mission. ON June 4, 1929 Lester and Lucille Larson, a Star Valley High School teacher, were married in Salt Lake City, and since then have made their home there, where he worked at construction work and as a building engineer.
Survivors are his wife and one son, Ralph, and five grandchildren, all of Salt Lake City; one brother, Lowell Jensen of Afton; and two sisters, Mrs Sam (Oda) Roos of Sandpoint, Idaho, and Mrs Jack (Martha) Osmond of Thayne, Wyo.
Funeral services were held Tuesday July 26 in Salt Lake City.
Among the friends and relatives present were Mrs Ray Crook of Afton; Mr and Mrs Sam Roos of Sandpoint, Idaho; Mr and Mrs Jack Osmond of Thayne, Wyo.; Mr and Mrs Lowell Jensen and daughter Helen J. Hyde, Afton; Blanch C. Bode and Elda K. Brough, both of Salt Lake City; Alta K. McCombs of Ogden; and Bernice S. Linford of Utah.
