Mr. Tourgee was a batchmaker for the former Hoechst-Celanese Chemical Corp., Coventry, for 12 years, retiring in 1985. He had also been a book binder at Arkwright Interlaken, Coventry, for 13 years until 1973.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Manchester Lodge of Masons in Coventry for 50 years.
An avid golfer, Mr. Tourgee was a former member of the Washington Golf Course in Coventry and the West Warwick Country Club.
Survived by wife, 3 children, 4 siblings, 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.. He was the brother of the late Florence Smith, Winnie Leviellee, and George, Harold and Robert Tourgee.
