Obituary-Hiram Bearden Funeral Held Here Monday

Funeral Services for Hiram Benjamin Boone Bearden, 90, a resident of Omak since 1939, were held Monday in the Precht Funeral home chapel. Graveside services and burial were to be held at Muleshoe, Texas. The Rev. Dewey Knowles officiated at the chapel service.
Bearden was born in Taylorville, Ill., March 20, 1873, son of William Lafayette and Nancy Jane (Angleton) Bearden, and was married to Lilla May Grant at Crete, Neb., May 17, 1897. She died February 10, 1937.
Bearden came to Omak in August, 1939. He had farmed, operated a cattle ranch, logged and operated the Riverview Hotel in Omak. He died Saturday at his home.
Surviving are nine children, Russell Bearden and Mrs. Leota Wilderding of Muleshoe, Vern Bearden of Lubbock, Texas, Frank Grant of Grand Island, Neb., Ed Beaden of Salem, Ore., Mrs. Cecil Robinson of Spokane, and Mrs. Ernest Myers, Mrs. Richard Rockey and Mrs. Henry Cox of Omak; 26 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren and 10 great, great-grandchildren.
