MRS. FRANK WELCH
Mrs. Hattie Maude Bearden Welch was born on July 4, 1875 at Taylorville, Ill., and passed away at Warren Memorial hospital in Friend, Nebr., on September 12, 1955 at the age of 80 years, two months, eight days. She came to Nebraska with her parents at the age of nine years to establish their home at Dorchester, Nebr., in 1885.
On Auguest 31, 1898, she was united in marriage with Frank Welch of Dorchester and to this union were born seven children. In 1912, Mr. and Mrs. Welch moved to Friend and in 1926 to Exeter where they were making their home at the time of Mrs. Welch's death. Mrs. Welch had been a member of the Christian church for the past 62 years.
Mrs. Welch is survived by her husband, Frank, and six children; Mrs. Nellie Wattles of Friend, Frank Jr., Wheatridge, Colo.; Linus, Champion; James, Bartlett; Lester, Denver, Colo.; Leo, Portland, Ore. One daughter, Lena Mae, preceded her mother in death in 1907, and Mrs. Welch's sister in 1912. Mrs. Welch also leaves to mourn three brothers, Hiram Bearden, Omak, Wash.; Virgil Bearden, Joliet, Ill.; Burley Bearden, Alliance and one half-brother, James Angleton, Edinburg, Ill; 27 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Interment was in the Dorchester cemetery.
