Mrs. Lillie Peet Allen, a descendant of one of Waverly's pioneer families, died at her home in this city, Wednesday, August 22, at 9:15 pm., at the age of 91 years, 10 months and 12 days.
Mrs. Allen was born October 10, 1859, a daughter of Ethel Curtiss and Harriet Holmes Peet. On April 8, 1878, she was married to Lewis Allen, who preceded her in death. A daughter, Mrs. Mabel Ford, and an infant son also preceded her in death.
She is survived by three dfaughters: Mrs. Bertha Burns, Misses Ethel and Lura Allen, of Waverly; two grandchildren: Allen Burns of Waverly, and Mrs. Jeanette Davis of Belleville; two great grandchildren, Lois and Richard Davis.
Mrs. Allen was a loyal member of the First Congregational church.
the body is at the Wiese Funeral Home in Waverly, where services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. Roy W. Merrifield, a former pastor of the Waverly Congregational church, officiating.
Burial will be in East cemetery, Waverly.
