Stanley, Virginia (Blair) Lansing, MI Age 91, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2004. Virginia was born on November 19, 1912 in Harmony, IN, the daughter of David William and Nettie Loretta (Shaffer) Altman. She worked at MSU, Lansing YWCA, and volunteered for many years for the senior program at Kingsley Place Community Center. Virginia was preceded in death by: her parents, 14 siblings; 3 husbands; and her grandson, Brian K. Blair. Surviving are: sons, Kenneth Roger (Nancy E.) Blair of Bakersfield, CA, and James Dale (Kimberly K.) Blair of DeWitt, MI; grandchildren, Bradley R. (Amie C.) Blair of Idaho Springs, CO, Brenda L. (Gary) Lorance of Cascade, MT, Michele J. (Floyd W.) Hardin of Bakersfield, CA, and Dillon John Blair of DeWitt, MI; and 9 great grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Wednesday at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tri-County Office on Aging in memory of Virginia Stanley.
