His early childhood days were spent with his parents in Crane School District, east of Home City, KS and also attended school there eight years.
In 1920 the family moved to a farm east of Blue Rapids, KS. On June 6, 1925 he was united in marriage to Edna M. Wilson. They resided on a farm in the Pleasant Valley District the remainder of his life.
To this union were born three sons and one daughter; Wayne Fincham of Marysville, KS; Keith Fincham of Oketo, KS; Wallace Fincham of Blue Rapids, KS and Mrs. Delmer (Dorothy) Carnes of Topeka, KS.
Survivors include his wife and four children ; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Wanklyn and Mrs. George Wilson of Frankfort, KS, Mrs. Cecil Drinnen, Wichita, KS and one brother Victor Fincham, Wichita, KS and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Estes and one brother, Clayton Fincham.
As a youth, he attended the Methodist Church and Sunday school in Home City, KS which he later joined. In later years, he attended the Baptist Church in Winifred, KS.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Winifred, KS with Rev. Bruno Smith officiating. Burial in the Fairmont Cemetery, Blue Rapids, Kansas.
