Dennie Devaughn Prunty, 66, passed away at his residence after a battle with cancer,
He was born August 22, 1932, Braxton County, Bower, West Virginia, a son of Ira Russell Prunty and Detha Dell King Prunty. He married Betty Sue Hudnall 4-20-1957, Kanawha County, Charleston, West Virginia.
He was a Baptist by faith and a member of the Mulberry Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. He had lived in Charlotte, North Carolina since 1970.
He worked for the Armour Meat Company in Charleston, West Virginia before being transferred to Charlotte. He was a home improvement worker and repairman with his own business.
Services will be held, November 2, 1998 at the Funeral Home in Charlotte, North Carolina. With the Reverend Ben McNees. Friends may call November 1, 1998 from 6-8 PM.
Burial will be in the Forest Lawn West Cemetery, Charlotte, North Carolina.
He was a devoted Christian, Husband and father.
