Phyllis B. Elliott, of Caldwell, Idaho, passed away on March 3, 2013 at a Nampa Care Facility.
Phyllis was born December 3, 1918 to Keeley Ogburn and Mabel Campbell Ogburn. She was raised in Dunlap, Illinois with her two sisters and brother.
December 11, 1945 she married Elmer "Ike" Elliott in Chicago, Illinois. They moved to Idaho in March of 1946. Elmer passed away in 1964 of A.L.S. Phyllis selflessly cared for her husband throughout his illness.
During her years in the workforce, Phyllis worked for Caterpillar, the Internal Revenue Service, Canyon Abstract and Title, and the Caldwell Elks Lodge. Phyllis spent the rest of her career at Canyon Hearing Aid Center in Nampa serving as office assistant and bookkeeper until retirement in her early eighties.
Phyllis continuously gave to those around her in need, even if she had little to give. It was simple moments and memories that found meaning to her. Keepsakes to remind her of those moments locked in time would seem but a box of junk to most, brought many days of story telling and laughter.
Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Pamela Ronchetti, and Wendy (Roger) Price; grandchildren, Kimberly Young, Toni Ronchetti and Geoff Foreman; her great-grandchildren, Bailey and Jessica Young, Damien Ronchetti, and Darby Gierlich; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, Elliott, her beloved son, James Elliott and her grandson Joseph Price, both her parents, two sisters and brother.
Cremation was under the Flahiff Funeral Chapel. Phyllis was laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens on March 6, 2013.
The family would like to offer our deepest thanks to Heart N' Home Hospice, especially the patience of the nurses and bath aide, Jodi! Special thanks to Cheryl, Sharon, Liz, Sofiya, Crystal, Veronica at Home Sweet Home for the quality of care and attention which you all afforded "Granny."
Memorials may be given in Phyllis' name to Pet Haven or the ASPCA. She truly loved all creatures, big and small.
A celebration of Phyllis' life will be March 17th at 2:00 pm at Home Sweet Home Care, 11426 Lone Star Rd. Nampa Idaho 83651. Dessert and coffee will be served.
