Mrs. Virginia Mann Gerwig, 76, Elkview, died Thursday in Memorial Division, CAMC, after a long illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Kanawha County.
Surviving: sons, Roy T. Sr. of Elkview, James W. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; daughters, Mrs. Virginia Howard of Texas, Mrs. Mildred Thaxton of Charleston; brothers, Henry, Farley and Albert, all of Charleston, Charles of Parkersburg; sisters, Mrs. Ruth Phillips and Mrs. Gatha Thomas, both of Charleston; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 10 a.m. Monday in Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Homewith the Rev. Charles F. Scraggs officiating. the body will be cremated. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
