Obituary
Lyla C. Weese
Lyla C. Weese, 95, of Everett, passed away February 22, 2013. Lyla was born August 5, 1917 to Frerick T. and Theresa Jane Coombs.
She met and then married the love of her life, Earl Everett Weese, on March 6, 1934. They had 13 children together. Earl and Lyla were married just shy of 58 years when he passed away February 6, 1992. Lyla worked at Globe Plastics and fished in Alaska in the summers. She retired from Globe Plastic in 1976 but still continued to fish. She started fishing in 1967. She really enjoyed fishing and continued in the fishing business until 2004 at the age of 87 and that's when she decided to stay home and watch her flowers grow and still participated in fishing. She really enjoyed traveling, gardening, crocheting, Wheel of Fortune and her very large family and friends. There are 54 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She is survived by eight children, Jean (Dick) Ostman, Ted (Dorothy Weese), Ron Weese, Alice (Joe) Tadlock, Doyle Weese, Susan (Glen) Bogart, Hal (Tammy) Weese and Lee (Tami) Weese.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Everett Weese; and five children, Earl Jay Weese, Marie Moss, Rick Weese, Alan Weese and Floyd Weese.
She will be loved and missed by all who loved her.
Visitation at Solie Funeral Home, 3301 Colby Avenue, Everett on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday, March 2, 2013 11:00 a.m. with Graveside Service at Cypress Lawn Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. The celebration of Lyla's life will continue following her committal service at the South Lake Stevens Hall, 2109 103rd Ave SE, Lake Stevens, WA.
