George Angus Abplanalp, died December 5, 1996, in a West Jordan Care Center of pneumonia and an extensive battle of poor physical health. He was a dear father and husband.

Born September 17, 1907 in Vernal, Utah, the son of Franklin and Mary Ann Howard Abplanalp. Married Pamela Hone in the LDS Temple, May 31, 1929, she passed away the 9th of June 1963. Married Pearl Sant Bullock, May 15, 1965. George worked for Kennecott for 45 years and has made his home in Bingham Canyon and Copperton, Utah.Survived by his wife Pearl, and children; Howard (LaRue) Abplanalp, Vernal, Barbara (Max) Ivie, Murray, Doris Swearingen, Kearns, David Dale (Diane) Abplanalp, Sandy, and Linda (Neal) Barth, Riverton, 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Swain, Bothell, Washington; and the following step-children, Robert Bullock, Tacoma, Washington; David Bullock, Las Vegas, NV; James Bullock, Genola, UT; Karol Yates, Susan Christensen, Kearns; Lorraine Gardner, Magna; LuElla Burch, and Elaine Barron, Albion, Idaho. Preceded in death by a son, Russell Victor Abplanalp and eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 9, 1996 at 11 a.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, where friends may call Sunday, Dec 8, 1996, 6-8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the service.

Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
