Mrs. F. Abplanalp succomed Wednesday to her lingering illness. She made a heroic struggle for life, but the odds were against her. She died of a blocking of the arteries in her lower extremities. Funeral services will be held from the Vernal First Ward Chapel at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon under the direction of Bishop Hyrum B. Calder.
Mary Ann Abplanalp was the daughter of James Howard and Margaret O'Neil of Vernal, and sister to Mrs. Ellis J. Ellis. Born January 23, 1869 at Glengarnock, Ayershire, Scotland. Emigrated with her sister 27 years ago in company with her cousin Wm. O'Neil, who was just returning from a mission. Stayed in Midway, Wasatch County, for a short time, then moved to Vernal, where she has since lived. She was married to Franklin Abplanalp June 27, 1894 and was the mother of ten children, all of whom are living.
