"John W. Albaugh, well-known retired farmer of near Detour, died at his home about 8 o'clock Sunday morning, aged 85 years, two months and three days. He was a son of the late George W. and Sarah Valentine Albaugh and was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Estella Schiffman, Dunkirk, New York and Mrs. Alice Ream, Philadelphia; a son, Charles, near Detour; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Fogle, Thurmont, and Mrs. Margie A. Dorsey, this city. Friends may call at the home in Detour after 6 o'clock this evening. Brief services will be held there at 1:15 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with final rites at 2 o'clock in Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church. Rev. Dixon A. Yaste will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. M. L. Creager and Son, funeral directors."
