Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, Nov. 28, at the South Campbellsville Baptist Church for Mrs. Lillie Wise Brockman, 73, a native of the Jericho Community of Taylor County, who died at Rosary Hospital here Thursday afternoon, Nov. 26 after being in declining health for the past year. She was a daughter of the late Richard Lewis and Lucinda White Wise and was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was the widow of the late James Arthur Brockman, whom she married 54 years ago. She is survived by three sons, Hubert, Lafayette, and Ray Brockman, all of Campbellsville; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Bean, Russell Springs; and Mrs. Joe Holt, Campbellsville; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Bowen, Knifley; two half-sisters, Mrs. Buford Harmon, Campbellsville; and Miss Ida Wise, Lebanon; and five grandchildren. Rev. T. H. Harding, pastor, conducted the services and burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Vernon Dooley, Carl McCubbin, John Cable, Leland Harrison, Lee Davis, and Marvin Wise. Honorary bearers were Jim Parrott, Bobby and Howard Bell, W. T. Blevins, Aubry Crabb, Leonard Mills, Leonard Barnes, and Pat Beard.
