Eleanor Elizabeth Kneisley Kline, 87, formerly of 320 E. Oak Ridge Drive, Hagerstown, died Thursday, June 19, 2003, at Coffman Nursing Home where she was a resident.

Born July 26, 1915, in Palmyra, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Gideon Jaeger and Carrie Gerberich McClure.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Granville Kline, in 1992.

She was employed by the Washington County Board of Education for 26 years. She was the cafeteria manager at South Hagerstown High School until her retirement in 1980.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Funkstown.

She was a member of Redmen Pocahontas Tribe, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the American Legion Funkstown 211 Auxiliary; president of the Funkstown Fire Co. Auxiliary; president of Funkstown Senior Citizens; a member of Fairchild Old Timers and the U.A.W.; a charter member and past president of the School Lunch Association for Washington County; and a member of the School Lunch Association of Maryland, Amvets Post 10 and Moose Lodge.

She is survived by
three daughters,

Carol Martin, both of Hagerstown, and
Derrlene Hart of Waynesboro, Pa.;
two sons,
William Kneisley of Lititz, Pa., and
John Kneisley of Falling Waters, W.Va.;
a stepdaughter, Debra King of Inwood, W.Va.;
three stepsons,
Robert Kline of Funkstown,
William Kline of Williamsport and
Richard Kline of Hagerstown;
a brother, Donald McClure of Hagerstown;
grandchildren
David Knode of Hagerstown,
Ricky Knode of Apex, N.C.,
Terry Hart Jr. of Nagshead, N.C.,

Brian Hart, both of Waynesboro,
Scott Hart of San Diego,

She was preceded in death by
a stepdaughter, Betty Kline;
a stepson, Daniel Kline; and
a brother, Kenneth McClure.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Darrell L. Layman will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
