Donald Earl McClure, 76, of Hagerstown, Md., died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown. He was born June 8, 1932, in South Londonderry Township, Lebanon County, Pa., the son of the late Warren Leon and Carrie Edna Gerberich McClure. He co-owned and operated the Busy Broom Cleaning Service, a commercial building cleaning service for more than 50 years, retiring in 1998. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was of Christian faith. He was a member of Patsy Cline Fan Club, Winchester, Va.; AMVETS Post 10, Hagerstown; and the Funkstown American Legion. He is survived by his son, Dwayne E. McClure and wife, Cathy, of Williamsport; best friend, Pinky Warner, Smithsburg; two granddaughters, Heather L. Hoffman and Sarah M. Hoffman, both of Williamsport; and a great-grandson; nieces; and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Kline; and a brother, Kenneth McClure. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 16, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport, with the Rev. W. Allen Reed officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown. Military graveside services will be afforded by Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 Honor Guard. [Herald Mail]
