Edith Ann Hammock, 65, of Texas City, passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 1997, in Texas City.

Funeral arrangements will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 29, 1997, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home with Bro. Rudy Rios and Bro. Dan Cockrell officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park East. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hammock was born July 14, 1932, in Winnfield, La. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Hammock [was] a member of Temple Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Odie Walker.

Survivors include her husband, W. T. Hammock; son; Roger D. Hammock of Mountain View, Calif.; daughter Linda J. Gibson and husband Gary of Pearland; brothers, Marvin Walker of Gallaino [sic Galliano], La., Bruce Walker of Oak Grove, La.; two grandchildren, Julie and Jeff Gibson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Soliz, Jim Burch, Steve Fitts, Tony Jones, Johnny Ingles and Bob Swain.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association or Temple Baptist Church.
