HOUSTON — Funeral services for Syble Edwards, 58, of 311 Main St., Richmond, will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Jack Rowe Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. A. O. Singer officiating.

Burial will follow at Forest Park East cemetery.

Mrs. Edwards died Sunday at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston.

Born Jan. 2, 1922, in Pascagoula, Miss., Mrs. Edwards was a long-time resident of League City. She had lived in Richmond for 15 years. She was a grocery store clerk.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Willie Stutts of Walsenburg, Col.; Mrs. Ann Whatley of Livingston, Texas; Mrs. Peggy Perkins of Houston; her father, J. J. Walker of Texas City; three brothers, Bruce Walker of Oak Grove, La., and Marvin Walker of Galliano, La., and Bobby Walker of Texas City; two sisters, Mrs. Luraline [sic] Gates of Dibal [sic Diboll], Texas; and Mrs. Edith Hammack of Texas City, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Troy Perkins, Bud Whatley, Raymond Stutts, Johnny Ingles, Jimmy Burch, Roger Hammack and Don Ray Ingles.

Visitors may call at the funeral home this evening.
