Orangeburg - R. Furman Hatchell, 72, died Monday at his residence. Funeral will be Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Dukes-Harley Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Hatchell was born in Florence, a son of the late William and Mattie Yates Hatchell. He was a Baptist and a mason and an advertising salesman for Shaw-Barton Co. Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Lucia Mae Gue Hatchell of Orangeburg; four daughters, Mrs. H. M. Livesay of Newark, Del.; Mrs. W. F. Patrick of Ridgewood, N. J.; Mrs. R. D. Rogers of North Augusta, Mrs. J. B. Hildebrand of Orangeburg, a son, Richard F. Hatchell Jr. of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Lois H. Brantley of Charleston Heights, Mrs. V. F.
