Bertha Craft Holland, 88, of Montvale, went home to meet the Lord Saturday, February 19, 2005. She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and retired from the C & P Telephone Company of Alexandria with 36 years service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Susan Niday Craft, five sisters, three brothers and her husband of 52 years, Edward Holland. Surviving are a sister, Estelle C. Hackworth, Roanoke; numerous nieces and nephews; and a very special and loving friend, Daniele DeSalles.
Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2005 with the Rev. Elmer Sellers officiating and burial in Montvale Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to Walnut Grove Baptist Church or Montvale Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 982-2221.
