Estelle Craft Hackworth, 98, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 24, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Susan Craft and is also preceded in death by her husband, Theodore T. Hackworth; grandson, Perry Williams; three brothers and six sisters. Mrs. Hackworth was a member of Wildhurst Presbyterian Church and was employed by Grants Department store and the N.W. Pugh Co. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held noon Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Oakey's South Chapel with Pastor William M. Harris Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday May 25, 2012, at Oakey's South Chapel.
The family would like to thank the staff of 2 East at Richfield Recovery and Care Center, especially Sharon Leftwich, for their excellent care. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel, Roanoke.
