Julia Schoenbeck was born the daughter of Albert and Mary Trumblee Kapke in Lamont on March 21, 1908. She spent her childhood there and in 1926 graduated from the Lamont High School.
Julia was united in marriage to Richard Schoenbeck on October 31, 1926 at Lamont. To this union were born two daughters and one son. Richard preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1967. After his death Julia spent a couple years in Gilman, Iowa and the last four and one half years she has been at teh Marshall County Care Facility near Marshalltown.
During her lifetime Julia was an active memeber of ST. Peter's Lutheran Church at Lamont and for many years was organist.
Julia Lillian Schoenbeck died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 1977 at the age of 69.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandchild, two sisters, and one brother.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Carroll (Elaine) Thomson of Gilman, and Mrs Glenn (Elise) Frohn of Cedar Falls; one son Russell of Wichita, Kansas; ten grandchildren; one sister Ruby McFarlane of Lamont, and one brother Karl Kapke of Lamont.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm, Saturday, Oct. 29, 1977 in ST. Peters Lutheran Church at Lamont with Rev. Connie Kleingartner officiating. Interment was in Campton Cemetery east of Lamont. The Fawcett Funeral Home of Lamont was in charge of arrangements.
