Daniel Andrews was the son of John Andrews and Mary ( ) Andrews. He married Mary (Peck) Andrews and they had ten children; Daniel, Mary, Joseph, Thomas, John, Martha, Hannah, Paul, Stephen and Ebenezer. He grew up in Farmington and qualified as a proprietor in 1672. At the time of his death, he was one of the biggest landholders in Farmington. He served as a "townsman" (selectman) and was active in town affairs. He and his wife's homestead was located on Main Street where the Farmington Library now stands. 27 May 1649
