Agnes West, 102, of Covington, Kentucky, passed away October 26, 2010. Born in Oneida, May 19, 1908, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ivory and Cora Griffith; husband, Lonnie West; sisters; Amy (Dick) Smith, Lela (Edson) Bilbrey and Elizabeth (Homer) Lewallen; brothers: Benny (Virginia) Griffith and Kenneth; son-in- law Jack Chitwood; in-laws: Lee (Grace ) West; Orange (Arlie) Lay; Loy (Lida) West; and Golda West. She was a member of First Baptist Church-Oneida; a former elementary school teacher; a Kentucky Colonel; a member of the Eastern Star; and co-owner/ operator of Scott Motel in Oneida. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly West Chitwood of Villa Hills, Kentucky; two grandchildren, one great-grandson, beloved nieces and nephews, and many other relatives. Funeral service was conducted October 31, at Jones & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Doug White and Rev. Dale Smith officiating. Music was provided by Jane Phillips and Linda Lay.
