Mr. and Mrs. Glandon Jennings, of 821 Neosho Street, have adopted a boy, five months old, whom they have given the name Russell James Jennings.

C. G. JENNINGS DEAD
Charles G. Jennings died this morning at 5 o'clock in St. Mary's Hospital from uremia, after a short illness.
Charles Jennings was born October 24, 1846, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He came to Emporia in November, 1890, and entered the real estate and bonding business. He was married on November 9, 1871, in Blairstown, Iowa, to Miss Mary G. Burnet. Mrs. Jennings died May 19, 1914.
Mr. Jennings is survived by four sons, Gordon Jennings, of Fort Scott; Russell Jennings, of Portland, Ore.; Glandon Jennings, of Emporia, all of whom were present at the time of his death, and Issac Jennings, of Des Moines, Iowa, who will arrive in Emporia this afternoon.
He also is survived by a brother, F. B. Jennings, of Lebo, and two sisters, Mrs. Cornelia Randall, of Shelbyville, Ind., and Mrs. Cottaworth, of Chicago.
Mr. Jennings was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, and the Knights and Ladies of Security, No. 212.
The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Jennings home, 821 Neosho Street. Rev. R. B. A. McBride, will conduct the services. Interment will be made in Maplewood Cemetery.
