David Charles Howe was the son of Charles Melvin Howe and his wife Julia E. Low. He was born in Oregon; he had a sister, Vera, who was 17 years older. His mother had health problems, so his family moved to Florida was he was about 3 years old. Sadly, his mother died in 1927. David and his father were lodgers on a farm in Iowa in 1930. His father was then 50 and he was 7. His father re-married in 1933 to Lottie Solverson. David served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Aileen (unknown) Howe who is buried with him and shares the same upright military marker.
