Body to Be Sent to Sonoma for Burial in Plot of Famous .

Napoleon Vallejo, 73 years old, youngest son of General Mariana Vallejo of early California fame, and himself an author of the pioneer history of the state, was buried today from a private chapel, 41 Van Ness avenue, San Francisco. Vallejo is survived by an only son, Harvey B. Vallejo, ...,
and a grandchild, Jovita Vallejo. He died Friday in St. Mary's hospital in San Francisco. The funeral services were conducted by Father Gleason of the Jesuit order. The body will be taken to Sonoma for burial in the old family plot.
The passing of this youngest son of one of California's historic figures, recalls interesting chapters in the pioneer years of the state. General Vallejo was father of eight children, five of whom grew to maturity. Dr, Platon Vallejo now lives in Vallejo while two daughters, Mrs. Harry Cutter and Mrs. Lulu Emparin, reside in the bay cities. Napoleon Vallejo made his home at 400 Cole street, San Francisco.
Born in Sonoma in 1858, Vallejo was educated in the schools of San Francisco, later attending Santa Clara College. a few years ago he came into public notice through a biography of his father, General Mariana Vallejo, in which he excoriated several widely-read authors who had assailed the history of his distinguished parent. The Vallejos were among the most prominent of the early Spanish settlers in the state. Napoleon Vallejo was a member of the Society of California Pioneers.
