SUTHERLAND - C. Renwick Anderson, 85, of Wilsonville, died Thursday at Sutherland nursing home.

He was born March 3, 1897, at Wilsonville, and was raised in the Wilsonville community. On June 7, 1922, he married Mary A. Sherrard. He and his wife farmed in the Wilsonville area until 1973.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War I. He was a 4H leader in the Wilsonville community for more than 35 years.

Mr. Anderson was a member of the Wilsonville Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge of Wilsonville. He was a member of the American Legion in Wilsonville for more than 60 years.

Mr. Anderson is survived by two sons, Howard of York and Frank of Mitchell; four daughters, Dora (Mrs. Don) Sylvester of Albuquerque, N.M., Melva (Mrs. Ted) Anderson of Murphys, Calif., Alice (Mrs. Merlyn) Babbitt of Paxton, Zora (Mrs. Chester) Yoder of Blue Hill; one brother, Leonard of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; one sister, Lucille Anderson of Phoenix, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. MST Saturday at the Paxton Methodist Church with the Rev. E. Allen Magill officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Wilsonville Cemetery.
