Lizzie Thrasher, Rt. 4, daughter of the late Lawrence Melvin Calhoun and Viola B. Henry Calhoun, was born in Green Co., 2 Feb 1906. She died at 9:43 pm Fri 6 Sept [1985] at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was 79. She was a member of the Hogards Chapel United Methodist Church. She united in marriage to Alvin Thrasher in 1933. He preceded her in death on 28 Jun 1950. She is survived by 1 step-daughter, Betty Stearman of Campbellsville; 3 sisters, Nora Colvin, Louisville, Rose Lee Colvin, Campbellsville, Mary Lou Cox, Greensburg; 1 brother, Richard Calhoun, English, Ind. She is also survived by 1 great-niece, Mitzi Rogers, Lebanon; 2 step-grandsons, Wayne Stearman and Barry Stearman both of Campbellsville; 4 step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were at 11:00 am Mon 9 Sept at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by the Rev. Ray Vison. Burial was at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Wayne Stearman, Barry Stearman, Danny Calhoun, Larry Calhoun, Bobby Cox and Edward Colvin.
