Hannah was the daughter of John Wilson Jones and Eliza (Oakley) Jones. She has two sisters buried in Olive Branch. Missouri Jones Walke and Anstes Jones Bralley.

Her brothers are buried in Williams Cemetery in Wythe County. John Garland Jones and William Pinckey Jones. One sister is buried there, Sally Jones Pope.

Hannah applied for the Cherokee Census but applied too late. Hannah claimed her grandmother Oakley was Cherokee. Her Grandparents were William and Anstes (Mills, I think) Oakley.
