Ulysses Martin, 81, of Magee, passed from this life Sunday, December 30, 2012, at VA Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in Magee. Burial was in Magee City Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Janurary 1, 2013. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Carol Kennedy Martin, Magee; children, Michael (Mary) Martin, Mendenhall, Brenda Schmidt, Richland, Steve Martin, Mize, and William Martin, Magee; brother, Joe Harold Martin, Pearl; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Elizabeth Overby Martin; three brothers and three sisters.
