Letha Reynolds Allran, 80, of 138 Hillside Drive, died Sept. 29, 2002. A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Gainsville Baptist Church. Burial followed in Bethphage Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Born in Lincoln County, she was employed by Winn-Dixie until retirement.

Survivors include one son, Jim Houser Jr. of Iron Station; two daughters, Linda Eaker of Cherryville, and Kay Smith of Vale; one stepson, Dixon Allran of Vale; six brothers, Paul Reynolds, J.P. Reynolds, Johnny Reynolds and Gene Reynolds, all of Lincolnton, Calvin Reynolds of Maiden, and Gary Reynolds of Vale; one sister, Margaret Ingle of Lincolnton; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Life Shares of the Carolinas; or the American Diabetes Association
