Born in Harman, she was a daughter of the late Henry B. and Nellie (Puffenberger) Bodkin and was the widow of Edward F. Simmons.
She was a member of Harman Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are five sons, Harry E. Simmons, here; Leo E. and Richard E. Simmons, Baltimore, Md.; Herbert J. Simmons, Red Creek; and Hoye A. Simmons, Hyndman, Pa.; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Jacobs, York, Pa.; Mrs. Twila Wolford, Dry Fork; and Mrs. Argyle Shank, Harrisonburg, Va.; a sister, Mrs. John Wade, Parsons; 28 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Hinkle Funeral Home and will be taken to the Flanagan Hill Church tomorrow at 9 a. m. for a service at 10 a. m.
Rev. Harry Atzenhoffer will officiate and burial will follow in Flanagan Hill Cemetery
