Adopted Children - Nina Burgess, Joseph Clawson Burgess.

History - Harrison Joseph "Jode" Burgess and his wife, Emma Lucrita Snow Burgess, could not have children. It was an answer to a prayer when Harrison's brother, Isaac Henry Burgess, gave his infant daughter, Nina Burgess, to them to raise as their own daughter. Nina was the youngest of a family of 8 children. Her mother, Penelope Thomas Burgess, had died soon after her birth. Nina's father, Isaac Henry Burgess, had no way to take care of Nina. Harrison and Emma also adopted Joseph Clawson Burgess.
