Mrs. Mary E. Van Nortwick, 77, passed away
at her home in Frankfort, Friday, January 14,
1955.

Mary was born at Bryan, Ohio on July 9, 1878
the daughter of the late Alonzo and Matilda
Morton, coming to Frankfort, Kansas with
her parents when she was 20 years old.

She was a loving wife and mother and good
friend and neighbor.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian
Church of Vermillion, Kansas for over 50
years, transferring her membership to the
Frankfort Presbyterian Church in August
1942. She was active in all church activities
until her heath no longer permitted.

She is survived by her husband and four
children Mrs. Beulah Blanch Harry, Boise,
Idaho, Mrs. Mertie Hopper, Liberty, Nebraska
two sons, Claude A. Van Nortwick, Pueblo,
Colorado and Cecil Lee Van Nortwick,
Lawrence, Kansas; twelve grandchildren and
14 great grandchildren and a number of other
relatives.

Funeral services were held on January 17,
1955 at the First Presbyterian Church in
Frankfort with Reverend C.H. Rumbaugh.

Burial was in the Frankfort Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas.
