Funeral service for Inez Crow, 94, will be Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ron Manley officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in New Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 21, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Crow died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at River City Care and Rehabilitation. She was born July 3, 1918, in Somerville, to Jefferson Davis Taylor and Mary Clarissa Whitten Taylor. Mrs. Crow was a homemaker and was married to her husband, Thomas Emmanuel Crow for 72 years until his death in 2004, when he was 94.
Survivors include three sons, Dewitt Crowe, (Libby) of Somerville, Bobby Crowe of Decatur, Georgia and Bill Crowe, (Priscilla) of Surf City, North Carolina; two daughters, Mary Lemmond of Decatur and Carole Hankins, (Murphy) of Hartselle; eleven grandchildren, Teresa Lemmond Wright of Decatur, Lonnie Lemmond of Hartselle, Jeff Lemmond of Hartselle, Cam Crowe Emerson of Somerville, Darlene Crowe Grantland of Somerville, Tommy Crowe of Hartselle, Tim Mote of Somerville, Beth Lemmond of Hartselle, Melissa Mote Suits of New Orleans, Louisiana, Greg Mote of Somerville and Keith Crowe of Nashville, Tennessee; 19 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lonnie Lemmond, Jeff Lemmond, Tommy Crowe, Tim Mote, Greg Mote and Keith Crowe.
Honorary Pallbearers will be great-grandsons.
The family would like to thank Hospice of North Alabama, River City Care and Rehabilitation and her beloved niece, Margaret Taylor and her husband, Tommy Teague.
