Funeral Services for Michael Lance, pioneer Gentilly farmer, will be held Tuesday morning at the Gentilly Catholic Church, with Father Phillippi officiating. The services will start at nine o'clock.
Eighty-nine years of age, Mr. Lance died yeasterday afternoon at his Gentilly home after being in failing health for the past year.
Born on October 5, 1855 in Ontario, Canada, he came to Gentilly in 1882, and had farmed there every since.
Survivors include four daughters; Mrs. Dan Scully and Mrs. Tenis Mercil of Gentilly and Mrs. Con Scully and Mrs. Clara Vaudrin of Crookston; two sons, Ed and Fred Lance of Gentilly; and three sisters and three brothers, all living in Canada.
