In 1922 he married the former Rena West, who survives. In Kokomo he was employed at Kingston Products. He moved to Peoria in 1944 and was employed in the heating and refrigeration business.
Survivors, in addition to the wife, include four sons, Charles of Tucson, AZ, Max and Norman of Peoria, and Thomas of Milwaukee, WI; three daughters, Mrs. Glen (Wanda) Brown of Kokomo; Mrs Lyndle (Norma) Sutherland of Anderson and Mrs. Bertus (Rosemary) Markum of Peoria; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Petros of Peoria and Mrs. Della Sutton of Mishawaka, 22 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. One daughter preceded him in death.
