Born Aug. 30, 1904, in Kokomo, IN to Troy and Rosa (Perkins) West, she married Norman Shackelford on Sept. 30, 1922, in Indiana. He died Sept. 2,1961, in Peoria. One son Max, two daughters, Wanda Mae Brown and Peggy Lou Shackelford, four brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Rosemary Markum of Peoria and Norma Graham of Arizona; three sons, Charles M. of Phoenix, Tom of Milwaukee, and Norman of Peoria; 32 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
