Lyons - Mrs. Drunell Barwick Lindsey, age 77 of Lyons, died Saturday, November 17, 2012 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness. She was a native of Soperton, living most of her life in Oak Park and has lived in Lyons since 2007. She was a retired seamstress and restaurant cook. Mrs. Lindsey was a member of The Rock Worship Center in Stillmore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garnett Lindsey; parents, Charlie Paul Barwick and Lurene McDaniel Barwick; a grandson, Mickey F. "Mick" Lindsey II; and a brother, Bill Barwick.

Mrs. Lindsey is survived by four children, Mickey F. Lindsey and wife Teresa of Oak Park, Janet E. Williamson of Lyons, Deron Lindsey and wife Robin of Vidalia, and Tracy L. McCoy of Oak Park; two brothers, Chester "Buddy" Barwick of Swainsboro and Marvin Davis and wife Debbie of Vidalia; four sisters, Alma Newsome and husband Lynwood of Swainsboro, Ella Fryberger and husband Jack of Augusta, Cheryl Waters and husband Glenn of Vidalia, and Mackie Lawrence and husband Sylvester of Uvalda; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 20th at 11:00 am in The Rock Worship Center with Pastor Ronnie Collins, Reverend Steve Bryant, and Reverend Larry Richards officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Park City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
