Janet Williamson (Lindsey), age 63, died surrounded by her family on February 23, 2021, after a brief battle with cancer.

Janet was born on May 16th 1957 in Vidalia, Georgia to Garnett and Drunell (Barwick) Lindsey. She was raised and lived most of her life in Oak Park. Janet had recently retired as a seamstress to her home in Lyons when her health began to decline.

Janet is survived by her children, Heather Phillips of Mount Vernon, Allen Williamson (Sonia) of Floral City, Florida, Ayla Heckel of Statesboro, and Justin Heckel (Julie) of Lyons; her siblings, Mickey Lindsey (Teresa) of Oak Park, Deron Lindsey (Robin) of Dublin, and Tracy Boatright (Brad) of Mount Vernon; eight grandchildren; five nieces and nephews; and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Mick Lindsey; and great-nephew, Logan Reffitt.

Family and friends will attend a “Family Reunion” Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 27th at 2:00 PM at the Community House in Oak Park. Her remains will be interred in the Oak Park Cemetery following the memorial dinner.
